Aging Life Care Professional®
At just nine years old, Nora rode her bike to a local park where she noticed an older couple sitting quietly on a bench, holding hands. What moved her most was the love and connection they shared, even in their later years. That simple moment left a lasting impression and planted the seed for what would become a lifelong passion for serving older adults.
While attending UNC Charlotte, Nora pursued a minor in Gerontology, deepening her understanding of the aging journey and the unique needs of older adults. During her time as a student, she formed a close friendship with a special 98-year-old woman whose wisdom and influence deepened her desire to serve individuals and families in the field of aging.
Nora began her career with Sunrise Senior Living, helping residents and families navigate transitions into senior living. She later joined the Alzheimer’s Association, where she educated and guided families, trained caregivers and professionals, and advocated for individuals living with dementia. As an Aging Specialist with Centralina Area Agency on Aging, she continued helping individuals and families understand resources, evaluate options, and prepare for future needs.
Nora holds a Graduate Certificate in Geriatric Care Management (Aging Life Care®) from the University of Florida and is a member of the Aging Life Care Association®.
She has also completed specialized dementia care training through Positive Approach to Care®, founded by dementia care expert Teepa Snow, strengthening her ability to provide thoughtful guidance to individuals and families navigating dementia-related challenges.
Her commitment to planning ahead is also personal. Walking alongside her aunt and uncle during her uncle’s Alzheimer’s journey, as well as supporting her own parents through important life transitions, gave Nora firsthand insight into how overwhelming decisions can become when essential information is not organized and readily available. These experiences reinforced her belief that preparation before a crisis can bring clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
Motivated by this belief, Nora designed Simply Entrust’s Essential Documents Binder, a practical solution designed to help individuals organize essential information before it is urgently needed. Today, she helps people prepare for life’s transitions with greater confidence and compassion.
Nora is blessed with the love and support of her husband, four sons, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren. Her Catholic faith, family, and friends are a constant source of inspiration, shaping the compassion, respect, and care she brings to those she serves.
